Identical septuplets (7 sisters, named Monday - Sunday) in a future where only 1 child is allowed to live, share a single identity - Karen Settman (Noomi Rapace).
With the help of their grandfather Terrence (Willem Dafoe), they develop a system to avoid detection. It all seemed to work until Monday went missing.
This is another winner from Netflix (yup, the same upstarts who keep churning out great stuff like Dirk Gently, Stranger Things, etc.). Kudos. As a Sci-Fi Geek (ie: I watch & read LOTS of Sci-Fi), I have to say that this is 1 of the most original and refreshing Sci-Fis movies I have ever come across.Noomi Rapace has never been one of my favorite actresses but I have to admit that she is a top-notch actress. It takes some serious acting skills to play 7 different roles in a single movie. Not many can pull that off (perhaps only James McAvoy comes to mind from his outstanding role in
Waste/worth the time?
Sure, a
dystopian future where food, our most precious resource is running short due to
overpopulation is nothing new but I really enjoyed the movie for seeing on screen
the fresh new concept of 7 people developing various creative and perhaps even
tiresome mechanisms to enable them to live what was essentially the life of a single

The pacing and acting also kept me at the edge of my seat. It had enough
mystery, suspense and action to make a worthwhile watch even for non-Sci-Fi
geeks. I will definitely watch it again. It won't be anytime soon but I will.
