Food Review - Maluri Shanghai Noodles

Name
Maluri Shanghai Noodles
Food
Shanghai Dumpling Noodles
Location
Taman Maluri, Cheras

Getting there
If you are turning into Jusco from Jalan Cheras, head towards the 1st left turn after Jusco. As it is a 1-way street, it is easy to spot the coffee shop located on the left at the corner of Jalan Jejaka 2 & Jalan Jejaka 7.

Parking
Lots of parking bays along the street near the coffee shop.

Service
Very courteous & well-mannered stall owner who tried to really make a good impression & connect with customers. Food was served fast.

Ambience
Coffee shop environment.

Taste
The texture of the noodles is really good – firm but not too springy. They really go well with the Shanghai dumplings. For the slightly more adventurous, the chili flakes soaked in chili oil provides added punch to the food, but it is rather mild when compared with chili padi.

Presentation
The dry noodles are served separately from the Shanghai Dumplings and foo chok (in soup). Presented in the matching Oriental styled black and red plastic ware, they look really nice for stall fare.

Variety
They serve several varieties of the noodles (please refer to the pictures). Rest assured that I will be going back to try them.

Value for Money
For under RM5, this is indeed good value.

Overall
Good tasty food with good variety at good prices. Killer combo.
